The abstract submission period for the 2021 Preparedness Summit (April 12-15, 2021; Atlanta, GA) is officially open! As the enduring COVID-19 pandemic continues to intersect with other crises, from hurricanes to wildfires and beyond, we are reminded that public health threats are always looming and crises are just around the corner. This year’s theme, When Crisis is Commonplace: Transforming Your Community’s Public Health Preparedness Practices, will focus on how we must adapt our preparedness and response infrastructure to this reality and will highlight tools, resources, and policies that enable us to meet the many challenges we as public health professionals continue to face every day.

As the first and longest running national preparedness conference, the Preparedness Summit is the place for you to reenergize while gaining the knowledge, resources, and relationships necessary to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies. The Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) Cybersecurity and Innovation Showcase is a three-day event, where attendees hear from government and industry cybersecurity and technology experts about ongoing research and development efforts developed by partners from government, industry, academia, national laboratories, and international entities that address today’s complex cybersecurity challenges and investigate innovative solutions for the future. 


USDA ARS 5th International Biosafety & Biocontainment Symposium

This U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service (USDA ARS) symposium provides sessions covering a variety of topics including biorisk management challenges in a one health world, arthropods, high-pathogen avian influenza, laboratory assessment programs and tools, and risk assessment. The symposium includes pre-symposium courses and 2.5 days of scientific presentations. Exhibits showcase the latest agricultural biosafety and biocontainment products and services.

Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) USA 2019

Wildland-Urban Interface 2019

VCOS Symposium in the West 2019

NCT USA 2019
